Other fabrication techniques are equally important and worth mentioning here. If curved sections are to be produced out of sheet metal, then CNC press brake forming and CNC multi-bending are ideal. We know some complex shapes cannot be achieved by using rollers as rollers are mainly for predetermined shapes and are limited in sizes as well. With CNC technology, anything can be produced out of metal sheets and plates.

Forming

For mass production of parts from a sheet of metal of if there is inconsistency in the cross-section of the part to be created, then rolling becomes incapable. Forming is a method where CNC press brakes are applied so that the CAD file of the part to be produced can be converted into the machine codes and used in controlling the rolling process to achieve the shape required.

This method is superior to rolling owing to the speed with which the process can be completed, and that is why it is preferred in the mass production of parts. It also makes it easy to custom shapes and add extra bends and offsets as desired. It also allows easier design modifications without having to include other machines into the system.

Multi-bend

There are instances where it becomes very impossible for even forming to precisely create the shape required. These are in special cases that are rare but are still very useful in some other processes. We are not going to describe how this method works in detail as it is also not so common in fabrication workshops. But should there be a need for it, then you can count on us to deliver.
